Privacy Policy

Last updated October 8, 2026

This policy says what The AI Presentation Maker (theaipresentationmaker.com) collects when you use it, what it does with that information, and what you control. The maker is run by Theaipresentationmaker. In this policy "we" and "us" mean that business.

The short version

  • You sign in with your email address to make a deck. That makes your account. There is no password.
  • Your decks are saved in your own browser, not on our server.
  • The text you give the maker is sent to an AI model to write your slides. Our server keeps no copy of it.
  • You get 3 free decks. We count them against your email address, your network address and a cookie on your device, all three, so the free decks are 3 per person and not 3 per address. The network address is stored only in scrambled form.
  • Card payments are taken by Stripe. Your card number never reaches us.
  • The maker shows no ads and sets no advertising cookies.

1. What we collect

What you give the maker

  • The source for your deck: a topic you type, notes you paste, the text of a file, or the address of a web page.
  • A file you choose (PDF, Word, Markdown, text or CSV) is opened in your browser. Only the text inside it is sent to us. The file itself stays on your device.
  • For a web page address, our server fetches that page and reads its text.
  • The choices you make for the deck: number of slides, audience, tone, language, theme, and the outline after you edit it.
  • Your email address, when you sign in. We store it in one standard form (lower case, and for Gmail without dots or a plus tag) so one inbox is one account. Addresses from throwaway email services are refused. We also hold it when you ask to be told that a plan opens, and when you pay for a plan.
  • When sign-in by code is on, a six-digit code is emailed to you and you type it in. We store only a scrambled form of the code, for ten minutes.

Logos and pictures you add to a slide stay in your browser. They are not uploaded to our server.

What is recorded while you use it

  • A usage record for each outline, deck and slide rewrite: the time, the kind of request, the number of slides, the AI model used, the size of the request and the answer, what it cost us, how long it took, and whether it worked. The record holds none of your text.
  • Your network address is read to count your free decks and to apply the limits that stop misuse. We store a salted hash of it, a scrambled value, and not the address itself. The count is kept for good, so the free decks are not renewed by a new email address.
  • The sign-in step is checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, a service that tells people from automated scripts. To do that, Cloudflare processes the request your browser makes, including its network address. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • The companies that host our website and the maker keep their own server logs.

What is stored on your device

  • Your decks, in your browser’s local storage. The 20 most recent are kept. Clearing the site’s data in your browser deletes them.
  • A cookie named aipm_dev, set on your first visit to the maker. It holds a random id and nothing else. We count your free decks against a scrambled form of that id, so the free decks are per device as well as per email address. It lasts up to 400 days and page scripts cannot read it.
  • A cookie named aipm_acct, set when you sign in. It holds a random sign-in token, stored on our side only in scrambled form, so the maker knows which account is yours. It lasts until you sign out, or up to 400 days. Page scripts cannot read it.
  • A cookie named aipm_plan, only after you pay for a plan or enter a plan key. It holds your plan key so the maker knows your plan is on. It lasts up to 400 days and page scripts cannot read it.

When you pay

Stripe collects your card details, your billing address and information about your device that it uses to stop fraud. From Stripe we receive your email address, a customer number, a subscription number, the plan you chose, its status and its billing dates. We store those, along with a scrambled form of your plan key.

On our public website

Our public website uses Google Analytics. It records the pages you view, roughly where you are, and the kind of device and browser you use, and it sets cookies to tell one visit from the next. Google handles that information under its privacy policy. To block it, install Google’s opt-out add-on. The website is also registered with Google Search Console, which collects nothing from visitors.

2. How we use it

  • To write the outline and the slides you asked for.
  • To sign you in, to count your free decks, to apply your plan’s monthly allowance, and to apply the limits that stop misuse.
  • To take payment, keep your plan on, and answer questions about billing.
  • To email you a sign-in code when that step is on, and to send you one message when a plan opens, if you asked for it. We send no newsletter and no marketing email.
  • To track cost and failures so the maker keeps working.

We do not sell your information. We do not use your source text or your decks for advertising. We do not train AI models on them.

3. Who we share it with

  • Anthropic. Your source text and outline are sent to Anthropic’s Claude model, which writes the slides. Anthropic processes that text for us under its commercial terms.
  • Stripe, which takes payments and runs the billing page. When you buy a plan while signed in, we pass your email address to Stripe so the checkout form is filled in. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
  • Resend, which delivers the sign-in code email for us when that step is on. It processes your email address to deliver the message. See Resend’s privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare, which checks the sign-in step for automated scripts, as described above.
  • Google Fonts. The pages load their typefaces from Google, so your browser sends your IP address to Google to fetch them. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics, on our public website only, as described above. The maker itself runs no analytics.
  • The companies that host our website and the maker, which store the records described above on our behalf.
  • Authorities or courts, when the law requires it, and when it is needed to stop fraud or protect someone’s safety.
  • A buyer, if the maker is sold. The records move to the new owner, who stays bound by this policy.

4. What you control

  • Your decks. Remove one from the saved list in the maker, or clear the site’s data in your browser to remove them all.
  • Your plan. Change it or cancel it in your account on Stripe, which the Payment settings page opens. Your card details and your invoices are there too.
  • Your sign-in. Sign out in the maker, or clear your cookies. Signing in again with the same email address opens the same account with the same count of free decks.
  • The plan cookie. Clearing your cookies turns the plan off in that browser. Your plan key turns it back on.
  • Your records. Write to info@theaipresentationmaker.com to see, correct or delete the account, email address and plan records we hold about you.
  • What you submit. Leave out anything you have no right to share, such as another person’s medical or financial details.

Depending on where you live, the law gives you rights over your personal information: to see it, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, or object to how it is used. Write to info@theaipresentationmaker.com to use any of them. We answer within 30 days.

5. How long we keep it

  • Your source text: not kept. It is held in memory while your slides are written and is gone when the answer is sent.
  • Usage records: kept for 12 months, then deleted.
  • Your account, and the free-deck counts for your email address, your network address and your device: 12 months after your last use, then deleted.
  • An email address left for a plan notice: until the message is sent or you ask us to remove it.
  • Plan and payment records: for as long as your plan runs, and afterward for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

6. How we protect it

  • Connections to the maker are encrypted.
  • Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our server.
  • Your plan key is stored only in scrambled form, and its cookie is closed to page scripts.
  • Network addresses, sign-in tokens, sign-in codes and device ids are stored only in scrambled form.

No system is free of risk. If a breach affects your information, we tell you as the law requires.

7. Children

The maker is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, write to info@theaipresentationmaker.com and we delete it.

8. Where information is processed

Our public website is hosted on Kinsta, on servers in Chicago, United States. The maker runs on GoDaddy, in its North America region. Anthropic and Stripe process information in the United States and other countries. Using the maker from elsewhere means your information is sent to those countries.

9. Changes to this policy

We post every change on this page and change the date at the top. For a change to how we use information already collected, we put a notice on the maker before it takes effect.
